Day 10 Sue Barker introduces coverage of day 10 at the All England Club, where the ladies' semi-final singles matches are due to take place on the famous grass courts, featuring Jelena Ostapenko v Angelique Kerber and Julia Goerges v Serena Williams. The various doubles competitions should also be nearing their conclusions today, with quarter and semi-final matches scheduled to get under way. Last year, the Polish-Brazilian pairing of Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo - seeded fourth - reached the men's doubles final with victory over top seeds Henri Kontinen of Finland and Australian John Peers. The match went all the way on Court One, eventually finishing 6-3, 6-7 (4-7), 6-2, 4-6, 9-7

Townley Grammar in Bexley, south-east London, is judged to be one of the best schools in the UK, while two miles down the road Erith School, a secondary modern, is striving to pick itself up after an Ofsted report that judged the school to require improvement. Erith's mixed-ability students include some with learning difficulties and others who resent authority. At Townley Grammar, there are far fewer such problems, and the school employs three full-time staff to help students cope with the pressure they put themselves under to keep up with their high-achieving peers
